We regret the loss of our dear friend; Cleveland-based actress and arts advocate, Lee Mackey; best known for her thirty-three-year association with Beck Center (Lakewood Little Theatre) and her 17-year association with Cesear’s Forum. Resident audiences may well remember her work with Clague Playhouse, Ensemble Theatre and as part of the Marilyn Bianchi Kid’s Playwriting Festival at Dobama Theatre. Plain Dealer Theatre Critic, Tony Brown, described her as “the radiant and sure-voiced Lee Mackey – a legend in the Cleveland theater world.”

Her performances were "packed with observation, in which the very spacing of the words revealed a comment on life and on the text--delivered by a beautiful voice--illustrated by a faultless carriage, considerable personal beauty and irresistible charm." --Thornton Wilder
